Have you even seen a lake on a satelite image and thought that is where I want to go fish. Well thats what Sean Tucker and Eugene Kruger did on this occasion. After seeing a promising lake not far from the city in the African Bush, they set out to find a way to get access to a remote lake and fish it.

After a quick chat with a farm owner they managed to get access through the hills which lead to the far side of the lake. But it was soon obvious that the drought had taken its toll on the lake as water levels looked to be around 20% if not less…but still fishable.

Our only goal was see if there were any good carp in the water and man were we surprized. Some of the most beautiful commons we have ever seen graced our presence.
