Carp Island

Just before the winter cold sets in the carp at Rietvlei Dam are on the graze for some are fattening up. Sean Tucker did a quick one night session at the infamous island where he lost 2 fish but managed to bag 1 beauty. The Island is known to be a haven for big carp but with all its snags and a no boat zone it is one of the most difficult swims in South Africa.

But sometimes you get lucky.
