Unplanned, spur of the moment sessions tend to be some of the most fruitful!
I love the thrill of targeting new wild waters and Inanda dam in KZN has always been on my list. After having some great success at Hartbeespoort and Buffelspoort dams recently, the opportunity to target Inanda Dam presented itself and I grabbed it with both hands.
I did a bit of research and chatted to knowledgeable anglers such as Gilbert Foxcroft, Leslie Barnard and Peter Niemann who have fished the venue and had great success to get some much needed advice and tips. They all helped with the greatest of pleasure which really helped me with my game plan for the week.

I left Pretoria around four in the afternoon on a Monday afternoon and planned to arrive at the venue around eleven the same evening. Knowing exactly where I wanted to set up camp and be living for the following four and a half days I quickly got to work setting up camp. I went the full nine yards and camped in style, setting up my camo nets and taking my time with every detail.
