While anglers new to Specimen Carp Angling do have many avenues on the Internet to gain credible knowledge, such platforms cannot provide practical, hands-on face-to-face tuition in actual fishing situations on the bank. They lack the all-important personal interactive experience that a guided session provides. This is where guided trips offer a big edge, as they enable the client to ask questions while being hands-on with the subject matter. Many newcomers to the sport don’t even realise they have certain questions until they see something being done that they initially didn’t understand. 

Recently I tagged along on a guided fishing session hosted by Louis Britz of Specimen Politics Guided Tours. The client for the weekend session was Wayne Maartens, who not only learnt a lot but also ended up catching his new PB’s twice during the session!
